I felt like every picture was so carefully crafted with detail and love. First off, I love how calmly but fierce the sky is. I feel like what makes this image so successful is the lightning in the background. If a lightning strike did not happen and it was just the cactus with the dark sky in the background it wouldn't be what it is. This photographer used color, lines, shapes and rule of thirds. For the color in this, the photographer had to of been tracking the storm because Arizona doesn't get many storms. But when they do they are some of the best works of art I have ever seen. The shapes in this are made up of how many years of life the caucus has had; meaning their arms. They give it all different types of dimensions whether it being a single arm or multiple arms. The lines in this ...
"Good Food" This photo is so flattering to look at. I would love to sit down and eat this meal. First off, the presentation is amazing. It looks like it was just poured into the bowl, and was sprinkled with some basil leaves on top. Secondly, the quality of this photo was really well designed. With the main focus in the front and then slowly blurring as you look far behind. It really does put the focus right in the middle. Lastly, the lighting on this bowl is what makes this picture so much better. It does look like they used natural lighting, which in my opinion is the best lighting to use. It really does show the yumminess, and flavor in this picture. I also really like that this picture was almost centered. On the sides of the picture you can tell that on the left side there's more room than to the right. Another thing I did notice was the table cloth, or place setting is also not even and a little bit messed up. I think that also brings in a focus to it's surround...
At first, I was struggling to find a picture that spoke to me. Something that would stand out so strongly but yet have a meaning to me. I feel like black and white photos have a stronger meaning to me because you are not distracted by the colors but by the shading of white, grays , and black. As an artist it's easier on the eyes to pick out where this picture gives it a story. Say this picture was in color, the color blues of the water, her and her friends skin tones, the color of the bathing suits and the hair color would all be too much going on. It wouldn't be what it has become. Another thing that stood out to me in this picture is that it's not symmetrical, and the background. The background shows on the left side another girl walking away, and underneath the girl doing a flip legs from another. Where on the right side it's empty. This picture was compelling to me because it brought back a memory. It brought me back to a time of where I was a child and when thing...
I like to take pictures of objects in different types of weather. I love to see how one day a building that can be seen so clearly can disappear and become invisible to the naked eye. How we adjust to weather setting in our life, whether it be rain, snow, thunder, a dust storm, sunrise, sunset or fog and find the beauty in it, is a beautiful part of life.
